Janice B. Hettinger, 76, of Allentown, died on Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. Born in Salfordville, PA, She was the daughter of the late Charles Abel and Jeanette Balliet (Urich) Brower. She graduated high school in Philadelphia and earned her Bachelors degree from West Chester University. She was a District Justice in District Court 31-1-03 in Allentown, retiring in 1992. Janice was active in the community, having sat on the Salvation Army Advisory Board and serving as a volunteer. She held a seat on the Community Justice Panel in Allentown and was a Jr. Aide at the former Allentown Hospital.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Laurel Hettinger Fedak, Esq. and her husband Joseph C. of Allentown, son, Charles A. Hettinger of Allentown; grandchildren, Andrea Miller, Sean Fedak, Gabriel and Isaiah Hettinger; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a an infant son.

SERVICES: Memorial, 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 15th, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Call 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment: West Laurel Hill Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
