Edwin J. Traupman, 89, formerly of Macungie and Allentown, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Mary (Dobitsch) Traupman. He was an Army Veteran serving during World War II and was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post 191 in Emmaus for 16 years. Edwin retired as a Quality Control Inspector at Exide Corporation in Allentown, after 20 years of employment.
SURVIVORS: Son, Edwin J. Traupman, Jr., and his wife, Karen; daughter, Cynthia Coyle; sister, Ella Thomas; grandchildren, Josey, Lauren and Zachary; step-grandchildren, Kellie and Patrick; and one great-granddaughter, Lizzie. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Brown; two brothers; two sisters; and companion, Zerena Beddo.
SERVICES: 10 a.m., Monday, July 2nd, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus. Calling hour 9 to 10 a.m., Monday in the funeral home. Interment with Military Services at Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
