U.S. Veteran

Paul Arthur Diaz, 89, formerly of White Haven, PA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2012, surrounded by his loving family in ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Leah T. (Anilosky) Diaz. Born in Marlboro, MA, he was the son of the late Russell and Estelle (Woodhead) Diaz. Paul was a Marine Corps Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Weatherly, where he taught Sunday School and was a Deacon. He was employed as a commercial artist for Dixie Corp. and American Can Co. He loved spending time working in his garden and doing carpentry, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and at his church.

SURVIVORS: Wife; children, Susan Verhauz Grow and her husband, David, Judith Wippel and her husband, Frank, Linda Tapler and her husband, Jack, Daniel Diaz and his wife, Janet, and Lori Mayrosh and her husband, Thomas; sisters, Lorrie Schmidt and Ruth Yoder; brother, Ronald Diaz; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Lee, and a son-in-law, Robert Verhauz.

SERVICES: Memorial Service 1 PM Thursday, December 6th, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th and Hamilton Streets, Allentown. Calling hour Noon to 1 PM Thursday in the funeral home. Interment in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Coopersburg.

CONTRIBUTIONS: May be made to the church, 412 Kline Street, Weatherly, PA 18255.
